Chatman is a new sort of toy that plugs into your computer, helping to make your instant messaging more interesting for everyone, especially kids. Chatman is kind of an emoticon itself, but it’s able to display different faces based on your IM discussions.

These amazingly intricate robot models come to us courtesy of Henry’s Robots. Henry has been amassing a virtual army of miniature metal mecha in his laboratory over the last few years. Each one is lovingly handmade by Henry, and I only wish I could have one sitting on my desktop right now.
lego and muji let you create toys out of brick and paper

Japanese retail store Muji has teamed up with LEGO for a special line of toys that combine the world famous bricks with… paper. Basically each set consists of basic rectangular and square LEGO bricks and a bunch of colored paper – I also saw translucent paper in one of the sets – and templates for cutouts. It seems a bit gimmicky to me, but then again it does make a good gift for kids, because it exercises their creativity
