Yume Robo Climbing Robot

Yume Robo was recently introduced at the Shanghai Expo and developed by Musclecorp. The robot is designed to climb structures vertically to an unlimited height, using Musclecorp’s state of the art “Cool Muscle2″ AC servo system which is located in the neck, shoulders, waist and hips. Yume Robo was built to showcase Musclecorp’s technology, but I’m sure it wouldn’t take much to make it grab the nearest blonde and scale a skyscraper like King Kong
Sloth Robot Climbs Ladders

Most robots don’t get off the ground without a safety line, harness or other means of keeping them protected, but the X-4 “Sloth†robot liveds life on the edge with no safety line. It can climb a human scale ladder vertically, and travel hand over hand horizontaly, all while untethered. It relies on the strength of its grasping ‘toes’.
