gears of war imulsion energy drink: mmmmm. imulsion.

August 31, 2009 by technabob · Leave a Comment

The emGears of War/em geeks over at Gearspedia describe Imulsion as em#8220;a phosphorescent, highly volatile, low-viscosity fluid originally discovered by an oil exploration drill on the planet Sera.#8221;/em They go on to say #8220;emdirect exposure to Imulsion for any length of time will cause Locust subjects to transform into Lambent forms, making them, amongst other things, highly#8230;/em

puppy dog speakers are perfect for your maw-maw deccor

I#8217;m not sure how I missed these when they hit the Japanese tech circuit earlier this year, but these little doggy speakers were just too kitschy for me to pass up.

Made by the wacky folks at Japan Trust Technology, these puppy dog speakers will almost certainly evoke an #8220;ooh#8221; from those who think they#8217;re#8230;

nintendo 64 + lazer doodle + psone = darth64

We already featured Jon Jandran aka Hailrazer#8217;s awesome Dreamcast portable mod, the dreamtrooper. He originally wanted to paint the dreamtrooper#8217;s case black and call it the DarthCast, but he decided to stick with the original console#8217;s white color. But he also ended up stuffing a Nintendo 64 into a Lazer Doodle #8211; a gadget that#8230;

rise from your grave, apple tablet development rumors

August 31, 2009 by Syndicated · Leave a Comment

You just can’t keep a good rumor down. One would think Apple aficionados would have enough to talk about, what with Snow Leopard now gracing the machines of any Mac-owner willing to pony up the paltry $29 Apple asking price.
I guess not.
The emFinancial Times/em reports that Apple is “racing to offer a portable, fully-featured,#8230;

If you were smart fortunate enough to have picked up a Japanese DSi, you#8217;re going to want to check this out: emAa Mujou Setsuna/em, a bullet-hell style vertical shmup available on the serious cheap: 500 Nintendo points. gscreen spacebook: 2 screens, 1 (lap)top

August 31, 2009 by Syndicated · Leave a Comment

Gizmodo scored a few up close photos of the gScreen Spacebook, a laptop with two 15.4-inch LED-backlit screens. It was designed with #8220;professional designers, filmmakers, photographers#8221; and the military in mind, but I#8217;m sure there are gamers who are already saving up for the privilege of owning a portable dual-screen set-up.

Although the Spacebook might#8230;

the softest toad you’ll ever see

Toad is probably the cutest character from the Mario #8216;verse (Mario in various boots and outfits aside), but he doesn#8217;t show up as often as many of the other characters in crafts outside of cosplay, which is why I was so thrilled to see this adorable knitted version.

He#8217;s all fat and puffy and soft,#8230;

solar cap fan: don’t know if it’s enough to keep you cool, but it definitely won’t make you look hot

The weather here#8217;s been very erratic in the past few years; we don#8217;t get a lot of rain during the rainy season, and it rains quite a lot during the dry season. The only thing that I can be sure of is the unforgiving assault of heat and humidity, day in and day out. Which#8230;

This just in#8230; It turns out the very first MAC computer was not released in 1984 by Apple. In fact, you can get your hands on a very rare candy apple red MAC made all the way back in 1980 if you#8217;re the high bidder over on eBay.

Gotcha! This relic from 1980 wasn#8217;t made#8230;

It#8217;s a little after 2 am, and you#8217;re heading home. It#8217;s dark. You#8217;re alone. Suddenly you catch the sound of gears turning, tightening some unknown part. The sound bounces off the walls around you, amplifying. You shake it off and walk a bit faster. You can still hear the gears tur #8211; wtf? WTF was#8230;
